Nether Portal Spread to moda dodającego nowe możliwości do Minecrafta. Dzięki niemu bliskość portalu netherowego może sprawić, że bloki netherowe zaczną pojawiać się w otaczających go terenach w konfigurowalnym promieniu. W domyślnych ustawieniach można zatrzymać rozprzestrzenianie się netheru, umieszczając cztery bloki węgla w promieniu portalu. Gracze wokół portalu otrzymają powiadomienie, gdy rozpocznie się proces rozprzestrzeniania, oraz gdy zostanie on zatrzymany. Lokalizacje wszystkich portalu są zapisywane, a nowy portal jest wykrywany podczas jego tworzenia lub gdy gracz przechodzi z netheru do świata gry. Mod jest kompatybilny z Immersive Portals od wersji 4.4. Dzięki konfiguracji można dostosować różne parametry, np. promień rozprzestrzeniania, opóźnienie między rozprzestrzenianiem bloków czy ilość bloków potrzebnych do zatrzymania procesu. Możesz również zdefiniować, które bloki będą się rozprzestrzeniać na jakie i z jakim prawdopodobieństwem.
